We welcome you to visit our booth at ADAA: The Art Show. This year we are exhibiting a never before seen series of drawings by Nicole Eisenman which are inspired by—and will be exhibited alongside—the pre-pop drawings of Andy Warhol. Warhol’s lesser known, and extremely rare drawings, dating from the 1950s, offer an alternative and intimate view of the artist. Each of these drawings is rendered with a remarkably expert but equally whimsical hand.
Borrowing Warhol’s technique of “ink blotting” Eisenman created these drawings as part-homage, part-experiment. She expands the vocabulary of Warhol’s drawings infusing her own with narrative, allegory and formal rigor. The resulting images draw from a rich history of art, Warhol’s among them, while presenting a visual language that is entirely her own.
If you would like more information, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to seeing you at booth C12!
